Free the Youth
Free the Youth is an Accra-based streetwear label and creative collective founded in 2013 by Jonathan Coffie, Kelly Foli, Winfred Mensah and Richard Ormano, who first came together in the port city of Tema. The brand builds graphic T-shirts, hoodies, jerseys and workwear around Ghanaian social commentary: its "No Taxis Allowed" tee mocks class discrimination outside hotels, while a "1000 Injured" tee references the 2001 Accra Sports Stadium disaster. It has collaborated with Daily Paper, Off-White and Foot Locker, and opened an Accra flagship store in 2022.
