G.O.D. (Goods of Desire)
G.O.D. (Goods of Desire) is a Hong Kong lifestyle design and retail label founded in October 1996 by architect-trained designer Douglas Young with business partner Benjamin Lau, who started by selling furniture in Ap Lei Chau before shifting to homewares, clothing and gifts. Its Cantonese name, 住好啲, means roughly "live better." The brand applies tongue-in-cheek local iconography — neon signage, tenement tiles, mahjong and Cantonese wordplay, including its "Delay No More" slogan tees — to T-shirts, bags, cushions, tableware and stationery, sold through Hong Kong stores, shop-in-shops and online.
