Mawalola

Mowalola is the London label of Nigeria-born designer Mowalola Ogunlesi, who launched it around her 2017 Central Saint Martins graduate collection "Psychedelic", drawn from 1970s and 80s Nigerian rock. Signatures include skin-tight leather, low-rise trousers, sheer jersey tops and airbrushed graphics, pairing Lagos youth culture with Y2K-era provocation. Ogunlesi debuted at London Fashion Week in 2019 through Fashion East and became design director of Yeezy Gap in 2020. She dresses artists including Drake and Solange Knowles and still runs the brand independently.
