MISA Los Angeles is a contemporary womenswear label founded in 2016 by Shadi Askari-Farhat, who named it after her daughters Milla and Sayeh and previously created tbags losangeles. Collections center on fluid dresses, blouses, skirts, separates and knitwear in airy fabrics, with confident prints, embroidery and tiered or ruffled detailing drawn from travel and the founder's Persian heritage. Garments are handmade in Los Angeles by an in-house team of designers, patternmakers and sewers. The brand opened its first store at Palisades Village in 2021 and continues after Askari-Farhat's death.
