Proenza Schouler
Proenza Schouler is a New York luxury label founded in 2002 by Parsons graduates Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who named it after their mothers' maiden names. It built its reputation on tailored separates, tweed and leather outerwear, draped dresses and the PS1 satchel. The founders stepped down in January 2025 and now lead Loewe, remaining shareholders and board members. Shira Suveyke Snyder became CEO in October 2024, and Diotima's Rachel Scott was named creative director in September 2025, debuting with fall 2026.

Does Proenza Schouler run big or small?
Proenza Schouler varies by piece. Take your usual size in the relaxed cut-and-sew and outerwear, but try tailored jackets and structured pieces on first as they can be cut narrow through the shoulder and chest. Shoppers generally describe Proenza Schouler as designer-proportioned rather than standard — soft pieces and outerwear read oversized and drapey while structured tailoring can feel snug and closely cut, so experience varies by garment.
