Spell & The Gypsy Collective

Spell is a Byron Bay womenswear label founded by sisters Isabella Pennefather and Elizabeth Abegg, who began selling handmade jewellery and clothing at local artisan markets. The brand builds collections around in-house prints, floaty silhouettes, lace and crochet trims, and vintage Americana motifs such as feathers and eagles. Signature pieces include maxi dresses and the Desert Wanderer playsuit, alongside blouses, swimwear and childrenswear. It sells direct online and from its Browning Street boutique, with US distribution through retailers including Free People and Urban Outfitters, and now trades simply as Spell after dropping "The Gypsy Collective" from its name.
