Alex Monroe

Alex Monroe is a British jewellery label founded by its namesake designer, who trained in silversmithing at London's Sir John Cass School of Art and launched his first collection in 1987. Pieces begin as sketches drawn from his Suffolk childhood and the British countryside: bees, foxes, dragonflies, wildflowers and haberdashery motifs. Jewellery is handmade in the brand's Bermondsey workshop in sterling silver, 22ct gold plate and solid 18ct gold, using recycled and ethically sourced materials. The signature Bumblebee necklace dates to 2009. The company marked 40 years in 2025 with a Menagerie anniversary collection, selling online, through its Snowsfields London boutique and stockists including Fortnum & Mason and John Lewis.
