Hanro

Hanro makes underwear, sleepwear and loungewear from fine natural-fibre knits. Albert Handschin and Carl Ronus founded the company as a knitwear factory in Liestal, Switzerland in 1884, producing undershirts on custom circular-knitting machines; the brand still trades on that pioneering knit expertise and a large historic design archive. Core lines include seamless and soft-cup cotton bras, mercerised cotton and modal tops, silk and cotton nightgowns and pyjama sets, and men's ribbed underwear. The aesthetic is plain and understated: solid colours, minimal trim, fit and hand-feel over decoration.
