La Perla
La Perla makes luxury lingerie, nightwear and swimwear, hand-finished at its Bologna atelier using lace, silk and corsetry techniques traced to founder Ada Masotti. After its Italian manufacturing arm was declared insolvent in 2024 and its UK parent went into liquidation, American entrepreneur Peter Kern bought the assets; the transfer to his La Perla Atelier (under Luxury Holding) completed on 30 September 2025, backed by a roughly 30 million euro commitment through 2027, and the Bologna seamstresses were rehired. A relaunch collection arrived in June 2026 with fitting events at Harrods; Alessio Vannetti becomes CEO in September 2026.
