Mahabis

Mahabis makes minimalist slippers sold direct-to-consumer online from London. Founded in 2014 by former barrister Ankur Shah, it built its reputation on wool-felt uppers in muted colourways paired with detachable rubber outsoles that let indoor slippers be worn outside, alongside a small range of loungewear accessories. Manufacturing is based in Europe and Asia. The company entered administration in December 2018 and was bought out of it in January 2019 by consumer investor YYX Capital, which installed a new chief executive that March.
