Private & Co. is an independent, Asian-owned heritage clothing boutique at 83 East Pender Street in Vancouver's Chinatown. It specializes in Japanese raw and selvedge denim, stocking makers such as Pure Blue Japan, Samurai, Studio D'Artisan, The Flat Head, Indigofera, Big John and Dehen. The racks also hold denim jackets, leather jackets, workwear and womenswear. Owner Perry Lam opened the shop in Gastown in 2021 under the name Private Stock. A rent increase pushed him out, and he moved to Chinatown in 2022. The shop helps customers with sizing in store and ships across Canada and the US.
