AS Colour

AS Colour is a New Zealand blank apparel manufacturer and retailer founded in Auckland in 2005 by Lawrence Railton, who started by importing tees for screen-printers. It designs and produces unbranded cotton staples — t-shirts, fleece, caps, denim and bags — sold wholesale to printers and embroiderers and direct through roughly 27 stores across New Zealand, Australia, the US, UK and Europe. Turnover reached about NZ$500 million by 2025. In December 2025 Quadrant Private Equity's Strategic Equity Fund bought a 21% minority stake from Direct Capital; management control is unchanged.
