Fame and Partners was an Australian-founded label built on customizable, made-to-order occasionwear: bridesmaid dresses, gowns and event separates that shoppers configured online by neckline, sleeve, length, color and size. Founded in Sydney in 2013 by Nyree Corby, it raised a $7.6 million Series A led by FirstMark Capital and Upfront Ventures and relocated to Los Angeles in 2016, positioning on-demand production as a waste-reducing alternative to inventory-led fashion. The company went dark in July 2023, leaving paid orders unfulfilled and customers without refunds or explanation.
