Franco Sarto

Franco Sarto is a women's footwear label started in 1990 by the Veneto shoemaker of the same name, who trained as a cobbler from age 14 and ran a design studio in Stra, Italy. It sells pumps, slingbacks, knee-high and Western boots, loafers, flats, sandals and wedges, plus handbags, in leather and suede at accessible price points. Comfort features such as inForma footbeds and FLEXA cushioning are used across the line. Brown Shoe Company (now Caleres) bought the business in 2014 for $65 million and still owns it, distributing through department stores and its own e-commerce site.
