Repetto
Repetto is a French footwear and dancewear house founded in Paris in 1947 by Rose Repetto, who began making ballet shoes for her son, choreographer Roland Petit. It supplies pointe and ballet shoes to the Opéra National de Paris and other companies, and sells a street line built on the same stitch-and-return construction. The Cendrillon flat, created in 1956 for Brigitte Bardot, remains the signature style, joined by Zizi oxfords, jazz shoes, boots and leotards. Production is centred on the brand's Dordogne workshop in south-west France.
