Nagnata

Nagnata is an independent Byron Bay label founded by sisters Laura May Gibbs and Hannah Gibbs, which launched its first collection in 2017. It builds a category the founders call movement knitwear: technical knitted leggings, bike shorts, bralettes, oversized unisex cardigans, tracksuits and sweaters cut for yoga, studio and street wear. Design leans on 1970s and 1990s references, wide stripes, colour-blocking and jewel tones, in organic cotton and Australian merino. The brand releases "movements" rather than seasons, avoids mass production, and operates a Byron Bay flagship alongside wholesale and direct online sales.
