Schutz

Schutz is a Brazilian women's footwear and accessories brand founded in 1995 by designer Alexandre Birman, then 18, and based in Campo Bom, Rio Grande do Sul. It is known for fast, trend-driven interpretations of runway footwear - stilettos, platforms, strappy sandals and boots - made in the Vale dos Sinos shoemaking region, alongside handbags. US retail began with a Madison Avenue flagship in 2012. Parent Arezzo&Co merged with Grupo SOMA to form Azzas 2154 in August 2024; a September 2026 split agreement returns Schutz to a standalone Arezzo&Co.
