Aéropostale is an American mall-based teen apparel chain founded in 1987 as a Macy's concept and later spun off. It sells logo graphic tees, fleece hoodies, sweatpants, denim including low-rise flares, and school uniforms, with most tops and jeans priced under $50. Merchandising leans on early-2000s nostalgia through a Y2K Revival line and creator collaborations. Ownership shifted in January 2025 when SPARC Group merged with JCPenney to form Catalyst Brands; Authentic Brands Group holds the trademarks. Roughly 470 US stores operate alongside international franchise locations.
