Alden

Alden makes Goodyear-welted and hand-sewn men's footwear at its own factory in Middleborough, Massachusetts, one of the last surviving New England shoemakers. Core models include the Indy boot, tassel and penny loafers, longwings, chukkas and plain-toe bluchers, built on proprietary lasts such as the Barrie, Trubalance and Modified. The company is best known for shell cordovan sourced from Horween in Chicago, and works with retail partners like The Shoe Mart, Leffot and Japanese stockists on limited make-ups. It remains privately held by the Tarlow family.
