Viberg is a third-generation, family-owned Canadian bootmaker founded by Swedish immigrant Ed Viberg in Saskatchewan in 1931 and now based in Victoria, British Columbia. It began with farm and logging work boots and today builds Goodyear- and stitchdown-welted footwear in-house, led by the Service Boot and its 1035, 2030, 2040 and 310 lasts. The factory works in Horween Chromexcel, shell cordovan, waxed flesh and hatchgrain leathers, releasing seasonal drops plus limited runs. Japanese retailer Nepenthes commissioned an early custom boot in 2003, seeding its heritage-menswear following.
