Allen Edmonds makes men's Goodyear-welted leather footwear, founded in 1922 by Elbert W. Allen in Belgium, Wisconsin and headquartered in Port Washington, Wisconsin, where it still produces shoes using a multi-step welted construction process. The line centers on dress staples such as the Park Avenue cap-toe oxford, Strand brogue and Fifth Avenue, plus loafers, boots, hybrid sneakers, belts, cedar shoe trees and care products, and a recrafting service that resoles worn pairs. Caleres has owned the brand since acquiring it from Brentwood Associates for $255 million in 2016.
