Ascot Shop

Ascot Shop is a family-run men's clothing store on Girard Avenue in La Jolla, San Diego. Jack Matzinger opened it as a traditional haberdashery in 1950; longtime employee Bill White bought the business in 1980, and the White family, including son Andrew, still operates it. The store passed 75 years in business in 2025. Stock has shifted from conservative tailoring toward sport coats, polos, sport shirts, sweaters, denim and shoes, alongside made-to-measure suits and shirts, in-house tailoring and appointment-based wardrobe consultations.
