BEVZA

BEVZA is an independent womenswear label founded by Svitlana Bevza in Kyiv in 2006 and still produced in Ukraine. It works in a restrained "less and luxe" register: rectangle-based tailoring, sharp coats such as the Kazuhukh style, knit and jersey dresses, trompe l'oeil bodysuit lines, and a recurring white-dress concept. Ukrainian cultural motifs run through the work, notably wheat-spikelet jewelry and bag hardware made with local artisans. The brand shows each season at New York Fashion Week, presenting recent collections at the Ukrainian Institute of America.
