BKE is the exclusive in-house denim label of The Buckle, Inc., the Kearney, Nebraska specialty retailer founded in 1948. Launched in 1991 as "bkle" when Brass Buckle renamed itself The Buckle, it anchors the chain's denim-destination positioning and its private-label program, which accounts for roughly 44 percent of company sales. The line covers women's and men's five-pocket jeans in barrel, wide-leg, bootcut, baggy and straight fits, plus tops and shorts, with embellished and horseshoe-stitched back pockets. Women's jeans retail around $77-$80 and sell only through Buckle stores and buckle.com.
