Independent Washington, D.C. bootmaker crafting Spanish-made Goodyear-welted boots that pair rugged specialty leathers with sleek, dressy lasts.

What to know about Caswell Boot Co.
Caswell Boot Co. is an independent Washington, D.C. footwear label founded in 2019 by Kevin Wilson, who named it after Caswell County, North Carolina. After a shuttered U.S. factory and a failed Kickstarter, Wilson moved production to Spain, where Goodyear-welted and hand-welted boots are built on sleeker, dressier lasts using leathers from tanneries including C.F. Stead, Horween, Seidel and Tanneries du Puy. Core models — the Lisbon service boot, Wilson cap-toe, Carver and Foxhall — sell direct-to-consumer alongside made-to-order and group MTO runs, with a working showroom planned near D.C.
