Colmar
Family-run Italian outerwear house from Monza, making technical skiwear since 1923 alongside the retro-sport Colmar Originals lifestyle line.
What to know about Colmar
Colmar is an Italian outerwear label founded in Monza in 1923 by Mario Colombo, whose Manifattura Mario Colombo originally produced wool felt hats and gaiters. The firm turned to skiwear after World War II, partnering with the Italian winter sports federation from the 1940s until 1992 and developing the aerodynamic "guaina Colò" sheath jacket worn by downhill champion Zeno Colò at the 1952 Oslo Olympics. The still family-run company now splits output between a technical Ski line and Colmar Originals, a retro-sport lifestyle range of down jackets, bombers, knitwear and footwear.
