Browns is a London multi-brand luxury retailer founded in 1970, when Joan and Sidney Burstein took over a boutique on South Molton Street in Mayfair. It built its reputation on backing designers early, including Calvin Klein, John Galliano and Alexander McQueen. It sells womenswear, menswear, footwear and accessories from established and emerging labels online and from its Brook Street townhouse store. Farfetch bought Browns in 2015; South Korean e-commerce group Coupang took over Farfetch and its Browns subsidiary in January 2024.
