What to know about Dale of Norway
Dale of Norway is a Norwegian knitwear house founded in 1879 by Peter Jebsen in the village of Dale, outside Bergen, where it still runs its own mill. The line centers on heavyweight pure new wool and merino sweaters, cardigans, quarter-zips and windproof double-layer knits, often using archival Setesdal and lusekofte patterns. The brand has supplied official Norwegian ski team and Winter Olympic sweaters since the 1950s, including a 2026 Milano-Cortina design. Rossignol Group acquired the company in 2018; distribution spans more than 40 countries.
