Herno is an independent Italian outerwear house founded in 1948 by Giuseppe Marenzi and Alessandra Diana in Lesa, on Lake Maggiore, and still run by the Marenzi family. It began with oil-treated raincoats and now builds lightweight nylon down jackets, technical parkas and hybrid wool-and-tech coats, including the Gore-Tex Laminar line and the low-impact Globe collection. Claudio Marenzi promoted Gabriele Baldinotti to CEO in 2024 and has publicly ruled out outside investors; the group also controls a majority of sportswear brand Montura and neared €200 million in 2025 revenue.
