Goldwin is the technical apparel label of Japan's Goldwin Inc., which began in 1950 as the Tsuzawa Knit Fabric Factory in Oyabe, Toyama, moved into sporting goods and launched the Goldwin brand in 1958. Rooted in ski wear, the line centers on GORE-TEX shells, down parkas, technical knits and stretch trousers in restrained, city-ready cuts, with recycled and bio-based fabrics. The parent group also holds perpetual Japan and Korea rights to The North Face. Goldwin closed its San Francisco store in October 2025 and plans a New York store for spring 2026.
