Horsefeathers
Czech snowboard outerwear and streetwear label born from a 1989 British Columbia riding crew's in-joke, now headquartered in Pilsen.
What to know about Horsefeathers
Horsefeathers began in 1989 as an inside joke among snowboarders at a British Columbia high school, where Stew Carlson coined the name from his grandmother's British slang for "nonsense" and Joel DeVille cut the first linoleum print. Co-founder Hanus Salz revived the idea in Pilsen, Czech Republic, launching a first collection of 50 T-shirts in 1993. The independent label now builds technical snowboard and ski outerwear alongside skate-rooted streetwear, backing riders including Halldor and Eiki Helgason, Steve Gruber and Tyler Chorlton.
