J.Kim

J.Kim is a contemporary womenswear label founded by designer Jenia Kim and based in Moscow. Kim comes from a Korean family that emigrated to Uzbekistan; she grew up in Tashkent, trained at Moscow's Carl Fabergé College of Applied Arts and interned with Russian couturier Slava Zaitsev. Her collections rework elements of traditional Asian and specifically Korean dress — wrap closures, wide sleeves, layered silhouettes and cropped jackets — into modern separates, dresses and outerwear. The brand sells through international retailers including SSENSE.
