What to know about KAVU
KAVU is a Seattle outdoor lifestyle label founded in 1993 by Barry Barr, a former Bering Sea commercial fisherman whose windproof Strapcap hat became the company's first product. The brand builds cotton-canvas rope bags and slings, fleece pullovers and overshirts, climbing-cut trousers, hats and graphic tees in loud prints and Pacific Northwest colorways. Its 10-liter Rope Bag remains the signature item. KAVU stays independently owned and sells through kavu.com, outdoor retailers and streetwear stockists, plus a resale marketplace for used and sample gear.
