Keds

Keds makes low-top canvas sneakers built around the Champion lace-up, introduced in 1916 by U.S. Rubber as the first mass-marketed canvas-top sneaker. The range extends to slip-ons, leather versions, platform soles and the Pro-Keds basketball offshoot, with a plain, retro-preppy look and seasonal prints. Designer Brands, parent of DSW and Camuto Group, bought Keds from Wolverine Worldwide in a deal that closed February 4, 2023, and now sells all Keds and Pro-Keds product and runs the e-commerce business. Most styles retail under $100.
