What to know about MASU

MASU is a Tokyo menswear label launched in 2017 by production company SOHKI and relaunched in 2018 under designer Shinpei Goto, a Nagoya native and Bunka Fashion College graduate who trained at vintage shop LAILA and its SEVEN BY SEVEN line. The name comes from the Japanese polite verb suffix "masu." Collections subvert Ivy League and trad codes — sliced navy blazers, argyle knits, wide jeans — with punk hardware, chains and studs. MASU won the Grand Prize at Fashion Prize of Tokyo 2024 and now shows in Paris.
