The Meisterstück fountain pen, which turned 100 in 2024, is the origin point; leather goods and watches were built around it and the six-pointed white star.
Movements come from Montblanc's own Le Locle and Villeret workshops, the latter the historic Minerva manufacture, so watchmaking is not a licensed side line.
Extreme covers the harder-wearing, textured end of the bags and small leather goods; Sartorial is the flatter, quieter register at the same high price tier.

Montblanc is a Hamburg-based luxury maison founded in 1906 and owned by Swiss group Richemont, where it sits in the Fashion & Accessories division alongside Chloé, Delvaux and dunhill. It is built around the Meisterstück fountain pen, which marked its 100th anniversary in 2024, plus the six-pointed white star emblem, Extreme and Sartorial leather goods, and Swiss-made watches from its Le Locle and Villeret (Minerva) workshops. Giorgio Sarné joined as chief executive in November 2024, succeeding Nicolas Baretzki and interim leadership under Philippe Fortunato.
