OUAT
OUAT is a unisex Tokyo label founded in 2019 by Ryosuke Tamura, who runs the vintage clothing boutique Once Upon A Time. Tamura draws on Japanese archives and the countries he has travelled through, building collections around a "META CLOTHING" philosophy: wide-cut trousers, utilitarian jackets, shirting and sweats made in Japan from premium textiles. The output reads as reworked workwear and sportswear with quiet technical detailing rather than graphic streetwear. The brand sells mainly through wholesale, with SSENSE among its international stockists.
