R.M Williams

R.M.Williams makes leather boots, belts, and workwear-derived apparel from Adelaide, South Australia. Reginald Murray Williams began supplying saddles and riding boots in 1932; the brand's core product remains the Craftsman and Comfort Craftsman Chelsea boot, built on a one-piece leather upper with elastic side gussets and a Goodyear-welted, resoleable construction. Australian investment group Tattarang, owned by Andrew and Nicola Forrest, bought the business from L Catterton in 2020 for a reported A$190 million. A second Salisbury workshop opened in 2025 doubled output, and the brand is expanding in the UK with a London flagship in 2026.
