Recto

Recto is a Seoul-based contemporary label founded in 2014 by designer Ji Yeon Jung; the name refers to the right-hand page of a book and the front side of a sheet of paper. It works in a restrained, gender-free register, applying menswear cutting to womenswear: tailored coats and blazers, fluid trousers, knitwear and shirting in largely neutral palettes with occasional playful detailing. Sold internationally through retailers including SSENSE, it is closely associated with the daily off-duty looks of Korean actors and idols.
