Rochester Tailored Clothing (RTC) makes made-to-order suits, sport coats, trousers and outerwear in the historic North Clinton Avenue factory that Jeremiah Hickey and Jacob Freeman opened in Rochester, New York in 1899. Its union workforce produces soft-shouldered American tailoring for its own label plus other houses, including J.Press, Epaulet and O'Connell's. Tom James Company completed its acquisition of the operation in July 2023, retaining roughly 200 jobs. A factory store at 275 East Avenue handles custom fittings, and fabrics come largely from Italian and British mills.
