Saddleback Leather Co. builds heirloom-grade bags, briefcases, luggage, wallets and laptop cases from thick full-grain leather, pigskin lining and solid stainless hardware, all backed by a 100-year warranty and the slogan "they'll fight over it when you're dead." Founder Dave Munson sketched the original briefcase while teaching in Mexico in 1999 and launched the company in 2003, selling on eBay. It remains founder-owned and direct-to-consumer, producing at its own Leon, Mexico factory and recently adding Silverback bags and 1912-inspired boots.
