SEUVAS

SEUVAS is a Japanese label based in Kurashiki, Okayama, whose name fuses "sewing" and "canvas." Growing out of an OEM sewing operation serving Kojima denim makers, it reframes Kurashiki hampu canvas, woven nearby at the Takeyari mill founded in 1888, as everyday clothing. The range spans coveralls, chore and trucker jackets, work shirts and flannels, finished with botanical dyes such as logwood and indigo plus hand-painted ceramic buttons from Amakusa. Production runs are small, with waste reduction and repairability central. Retailers include Redcast Heritage, Rivet & Hide and Franklin & Poe.
