What to know about S.N.S. Herning
S.N.S. Herning is a Danish knitwear house founded by manufacturer Soren Nielsen Skyt in Herning, Jutland, built around a machine-knitted bobble or "bubble" stitch originally made to insulate North Sea fishermen. The heavyweight Fisherman turtleneck and chunky Stark cardigan remain its signatures, cut in 100% virgin wool. Mainline sweaters run roughly EUR 190-240 direct and $245-$355 at stockists such as Mr Porter and Steven Alan. Collaborators have included Comme des Garcons and JJJJound; knitting now also runs in Latvia and Italy.
