What to know about Swanndri
Swanndri is a New Zealand outdoor clothing brand known for the "Swannie," a heavy hooded wool bush shirt with a laced neck. New Plymouth tailor William Broome registered the name in 1913 for a weatherproof wool shirt made for Taranaki farmers. Today the brand is based in Christchurch. It sells wool bushshirts such as the Mosgiel and Ranger, plus wool jackets and hoodies, oilskins, fleece and country shirts. Its parent company, Longbeach Holdings, also owns the marine apparel brand Line 7.
