Tecovas

Tecovas is a Western brand founded in Austin, Texas in 2015 by Paul Hedrick, which started as a direct-to-consumer bootmaker. Its boots are designed in Austin and handcrafted by artisans in León, Guanajuato, Mexico, using custom-tanned leathers and a process of more than 200 steps. The company opened its first store on South Congress Avenue in 2019 and has since built a national retail footprint, extending into hats, apparel, leather goods and accessories. Paul Hedrick is executive chairman; David Lafitte serves as CEO. Backed by roughly $130 million in venture and growth capital, it remains independent.
