What to know about Volley
Volley, formerly Dunlop Volley, is an Australian canvas sneaker brand dating to 1939, when Dunlop introduced a tennis shoe designed with player Adrian Quist. Its cotton-canvas upper and grippy rubber sole have barely changed since. The International and Hi Leap low- and high-tops are the core range, typically priced around AU$50–70. Volley is owned by Melbourne's Brand Collective, which Pacific Brands spun out and sold to Anchorage Capital Partners in 2014. It has also sold apparel since 2017 and is a long-standing staple of Australian skate, music and street culture.
