Zamberlan
Century-old family-run Italian bootmaker crafting resoleable leather hiking, mountaineering, hunting and work boots with Gore-Tex and Vibram.
What to know about Zamberlan
Zamberlan is a third-generation family bootmaker in Torrebelvicino, in Italy's Vicenza province, founded in 1929 by cobbler Giuseppe Zamberlan, who worked with Vibram founder Vitale Bramani on early rubber-soled mountain boots. Siblings Marco and Maria Zamberlan run the independent company today, keeping premium production in Italy under a "Hand Made Philosophy" of welted, resoleable construction. The range spans hiking, backpacking, mountaineering, hunting and work boots built on Hydrobloc-treated leathers, Gore-Tex membranes and Vibram outsoles, with flagship 996 and 1996 Vioz models retailing around $390-$450.
