Akomplice

Akomplice is a Colorado streetwear label founded in 2004 by brothers Mike McCarney and Patrick Liberty, who started the line out of Carbondale after growing up in Paonia and working in music. Its first design, a "Free Yourself" tee showing a puppet cutting itself from a controlling hand, set the template: graphic T-shirts, hoodies, caps and cut-and-sew pieces carrying spiritual, political and environmental messages. The Earth Rights collection, shot by younger brother Shawn McCarney, addressed fashion's climate impact and shipped with explanatory hangtags.
