REBEL8 is a Californian streetwear label started in 2003 by Joshy D, who began printing graphic t-shirts with $500 in a small San Francisco studio apartment, using original artwork by tattoo artist and graffiti writer Mike Giant. The brand later based itself in Los Angeles and now sells tees, hoodies, fleece, jackets, headwear and accessories covered in hand-drawn skulls, script lettering, tattoo flash and graffiti motifs. Giant stepped back from daily involvement in the mid-2010s, but his art still appears on releases including limited skateboard decks sold through rebel8.com.
