ANCIENT GREEK SANDALS

Ancient Greek Sandals produces leather sandals handmade in small workshops in Greece, using vegetable-tanned leather and traditional techniques. Core styles include flat thong and gladiator sandals and the winged Talaria design referencing Hermes, alongside slides, espadrilles and small leather goods, with shapes and names drawn from Hellenic mythology, pottery and sculpture. Co-founders Christina Martini, a former Louis Vuitton footwear designer, and Nikolas Minoglou launched the label in 2012. In 2026 Spanish footwear brand Camper acquired a 60 percent majority stake; the founders and co-owner Yiannis Vagenas keep 40 percent and continue running the brand independently.
